Elephant Valley
At age 45 Milot’s health levels are worse than an elephant of 70 or older. It never looks as though she’ll live to see the next day but she’s a fighter, she’s been a fighter her whole life. Milot’s previous owners who would overload her with goods or people they were tasked to carry. She would have to haul wood, oil, tourists and rice and trek between villages and far into the local forest. Consumed by the pain, she started to become uncooperative. This meant in turn she was hit constantly, the end of her tail was cut off and her genitals slashed in order to drive her along. She was scared of people, vehicles and other elephants. Mentally she has gotten through these fears but her physical pain will never go away.
